Spicers investment management function is undertaken by AXA Global Investors, a division of Spicers parent company, AXA Asia Pacific.  Prior to February 2009, AXA Global Investors were known as Arcus Investment Management.

Today they manage more than NZ$1.2 billion on behalf of Spicers’ clients and a total of NZ$4 billion of assets across all the major asset classes including domestic and offshore bonds, New Zealand cash, listed property, infrastructure assets, and local, international and emerging market shares. The team is based in Wellington and take a ‘manager of managers’ approach, choosing from amongst the world’s top investment specialists to provide security selection expertise in each asset class. The manager of managers approach allows our clients to achieve broad diversification quickly and easily, with exposure to a wide range of opportunities worldwide. The managers currently employed are profiled here.  While some of the managers may be familiar, others may not. This reflects the focus on finding leading managers whether they are large global firms or small boutique operations.
