Philip has a broad financial services background having spent the last 12 years employed in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Spicers in 2000, Philip spent seven years as a consultant with Medical Assurance Society providing investment, lending and risk management advice to the Auckland medical profession. Philip has also held senior positions with American Express International as the South Island Manager and Queensland Corporate Card Manager whilst residing in Australia.
Philip enjoys working with his clients to develop investment solutions to achieve their financial and lifestyle objectives. Philip is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP - the internationally recognised standard of excellence in Financial Planning) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from Massey University. Philip is also a member of the Financial Institute of Advisers (IFA).
Outside work, Philip coaches soccer and enjoys running and golf leisure activities. He is married to Kerry and has three young children.
